Waiver
Volunteer Obligations and Waiver of Liability
The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show depends on the volunteers to perform critical duties in contributing to the event's success. Our volunteers will enjoy free admission to The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show on the day of their volunteer assignment. This opportunity to browse and shop before and/or after the volunteer's working shift. In exchange, we expect our volunteers to display warm and welcoming courtesy to patrons and artists, to perform their duties with commitment to the overall success of The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show, and to represent the community in a positive light.
We expect our volunteers to be on time for their assignments; communicate any issues, concerns, delays, etc. to the Event Coordinators; remain at their posts at all times unless or until a relief volunteer is available; and complete their assignments by remaining at their post until relieved. Relief volunteers will be available to accommodate breaks and any unforeseen emergencies. The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show provides a highly desirable venue for the artists and provides a unique and positive experience for our community. Our volunteers make the event a success, and we thank you for your dedicated participation in this event.
Waiver
I do hereby represent that:
1. I am 18 years of age or older.
2. I recognize and appreciate any dangers and risks inherent in volunteering for The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show events. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in such events and have considered those risks. I hereby expressly and specifically assume such risks, including any and all risk of injury, harm, or loss that I may incur as a result of my participation in such events.
3. I am submitting this release and waiver of liability declaration voluntarily and of my own free will.
4. I have no physical or emotional problems, nor any history thereof, that will impair my ability to safely volunteer for The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show.
5. I hereby fully and forever release and discharge The Woodlands Arts Council, Inc. (”TWAC”), its officers, directors, employees, agents, staff, sponsors, volunteers, and their respective insurance carriers from, and expressly waive, all claims, liability, and damages I may sustain of whatever kind or nature, including any bodily injury, personal injury or property damage or death, either in law or in equity, which may occur from any cause, including negligence, before, during or after The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show in which I participate as a volunteer.
6. I hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TWAC from any and all liability, losses, damages, judgments, or expenses, including attorneys' fees, that it may incur or sustain as a result of my negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct in connection with my participation in The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show.
7. I understand that TWAC does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including medical, health, or disability insurance of any nature.
8. I hereby authorize and give my full consent to TWAC and its agents, the exclusive right to use my name, likeness, photos or reproduction for any purpose including promotion, advertising and/or other purposes.
9. I acknowledge that I have read and understand this entire Waiver of Liability and Release, and I agree to be legally bound by it.
